GJ's Day at Yoki's Farm

We had a great time exploring Yoki's Farm in Mendez, Cavite!

My Dad attended one of his many conferences in Tagaytay, and Mom and I decided to tag along. We went to the usual tourist spots in Tagaytay and tasted delicious food, but my favorite was when we visited the nearby Yoki's Farm in Mendez, Cavite.

Since we went there on a Saturday, the line was already long even when we arrived at 9 o'clock in the morning. I was already fussy about the long line, so mommy couldn't take a picture of the rates to share with you. Fortunately, that information can be found on the Yoki's Farm website. They have a different set of rates for weekdays and weekends, and this also depends on what package you're availing (they have an animal sanctuary, a farm, and an antiques museum, and the packages allow you to choose which ones you want to visit).

When we were finally at the counter, the kind lady at the cashier informed us that I would be allowed to enter for free since I was exactly 3 feet tall (kids 3 feet and below can enter for free)! That's great news for mom.

Before we were allowed inside, the kind lady at the cashier assigned a tour guide for us. They said Yoki's Farm is so big that we're required to have a tour guide with us so that we won't get lost. There's a separate payment for the tour guide, but all of these are settled at the cashier.

Upon entry, we were greeted by a small bridge over a koi pond. The koi fish were so big! Then, the tour guide led us inside the aviary where I met a lot of new bird friends! It was smaller than the one in Cebu Safari, but there were birds there that I haven't seen in Cebu. My mom is scared of birds, so thankfully, my daddygrand and auntie were there with me!

Here's a photo of me feeding the birds. It's the same as the one I fed in the Cebu Safari.

Right next to the capybaras was a playground. I didn't want to leave, so mommy stayed there with me while my daddygrand and auntie finished the tour. Until this day, my mommy jokes that it was a very expensive playground day for her.

After their tour, daddygrand and auntie met us for lunch at their in-house restaurant. They have really yummy chicken inasal, and my mommy said that her tinapang bangus was really flavorful. Over lunch, I listened to my daddygrand and auntie's stories about the animal encounters I missed. They told us that they had fun interactions with bunnies, tortoises, and horses! They also said that they visited the museum where there were a lot of unique and old stuff!

I was so jealous that, to this day, I keep telling my mom that we have to go back. I promised not to stay in the playground for too long next time, but mommy won't believe me. Please help me convince my mom to take me back to Yoki's Farm!

That's all for my story today. Until next time!

After feeding the birds and taking photos, the tour guide took us to another part of the farm where the capybaras live! We were so excited because we all found capybaras cute. Mr. Tour Guide said that we could go closer and take a picture, but my mom told me to be cautious. She took a picture of me with a capybara and my auntie (wearing glasses):
